Get your business verified so you can send text messages from your Onsite business line. Until you're verified, the message composer isn't available.
This check is called A2P verification. A2P stands for application-to-person. Phone carriers ask businesses that text customers through software to register first, so their messages get delivered.
Before you start
Have this information ready:
Your business's EIN
Your legal business name
The screen may also ask for your business website.
Important: Use your real, registered business information.
Get verified
On web
In Phones, select Messages.
On Get set up to text, select Get verified.
Enter Your business's EIN #.
Enter Your legal business name.
Select Continue, then follow the steps on screen.
In the mobile app
In the bottom bar, select the phone icon.
At the top, select the speech-bubble icon. It shows Text when selected.
Next to Messages, select the compose button (the pencil and square). If you aren't set up yet, Get set up to text opens.
Enter Your business's EIN #.
Enter Your legal business name.
Select Submit, then follow the steps on screen.
The screen shows an estimated processing time.
On web, you can also start verification from Dashboard > To-do > Get set up to text (A2P).
