For Meta glasses beta users · Mobile app only (iPhone and Android)
Connect your Meta glasses to Onsite so you can use the Onsite assistant hands-free: take job photos, add notes, and check or book your schedule by voice. You connect once, then start a glasses session whenever you want to use it. The integration is only available in the Onsite mobile app.
Before you start
Your glasses are charged, paired with your phone in the Meta AI app, and up to date. A firmware update may run the first time you pair.
You've accepted the Meta tester invite we emailed to your Meta account address.
The Onsite beta build with the glasses integration is installed on your phone.
Only 1 copy of the Onsite app is on your phone. A second copy can make the Meta AI app open the wrong one.
Your glasses are on your face during setup, so you can hear the confirmation tones.
⚠️ Important: Meta glasses don't replace required safety eyewear unless they're rated for that use. Don't use them when they distract you or it isn't safe.
Connect your glasses to Onsite
You only need to do this once.
Put on your glasses and open the Meta AI app to confirm they show as connected.
In Onsite, select your profile picture or initials at the top of the home screen.
Scroll down to Integrations, select Meta Glasses, then select Connect. The Meta AI app opens.
On the Connect Onsite to your Meta devices screen, select Connect. This can take a minute, so stay on this screen.
When you see Meta AI wants to join network, select Join.
When asked about camera access, select Always allow. Onsite needs this to take photos through your glasses.
You're sent back to Onsite. When you see a Meta icon next to your profile picture on the home screen, you're all set. Meta Glasses also now shows at the top of your settings.
Start a glasses session
A glasses session is Onsite's "ready" mode. While it's on, Onsite listens through your glasses for the wake word.
Open Onsite and select the Meta icon next to your profile picture on the home screen. You can also select your profile picture, then Meta Glasses at the top of your settings.
On the glasses page, select Start session.
Talk to the Onsite assistant
Say
Hey Onsite. You'll hear a tone when the assistant is listening.Ask for what you need, the same way you would in the assistant on your phone.
When you're done, say
Goodbye.
Saying goodbye ends that conversation, not your glasses session. Say Hey Onsite again anytime to start a new one.
A few things to try:
Take a photo– the photo goes to the job you're on or scheduled for. If there isn't one, the assistant asks which job to attach it to.Add a note to this job: panel replaced, 2 outlets left for next visitWhat's on my schedule tomorrow?Book a follow-up visit on this job for next Tuesday at 9 AMText the customer that we'll be there at 8
Before the assistant changes anything, like booking a visit or sending a text, it reads back the details and asks you to say yes or no.
Photos: voice vs. the button on your glasses
How you take it | Where it goes |
Say | Straight to the job in Onsite. It isn't saved to your camera roll. |
Press the button on your glasses | The Meta AI app and your phone's camera roll only. To use it in Onsite, upload it to the job yourself. |
End a glasses session
In Onsite, select End session.
You can leave a session running all day if you like. If the assistant starts waking up when you didn't call it, end the session and start a new one when you need it.
What happens when…
Situation | What happens |
You take your glasses off | The session disconnects. Put them back on and it reconnects on its own. |
You get a phone call | The call ends your conversation with the assistant, and the wake word won't work during the call. After you hang up, say |

Troubleshooting
If this happens | Try this |
You don't see Integrations in your Onsite settings | You're on an older build. On iPhone, open TestFlight and install the latest Onsite build. On Android, install the newest app file we sent you. Then reopen Onsite. |
The Meta AI app opens the wrong app, or connecting fails | Delete any other copies of Onsite on your phone, then connect again. |
Connecting stopped working, or you got a new pair of glasses | In the Meta AI app, remove Onsite from your glasses' connected apps. Then follow Connect your glasses to Onsite again. |
The assistant doesn't respond to | Check that your glasses session is running in Onsite and your glasses show as connected in the Meta AI app. If they do, take your glasses off, put them back on, and try again. |
The assistant responds when you didn't call it | Say |
The assistant can't find a customer or job you just added on your computer | End your glasses session and start a new one. This refreshes what the assistant can see. |
