Create an invoice draft, add line items, and review the total before you choose what to do next.

Note: Your default due date comes from Settings > Estimates & invoices. You can change the due date on an individual invoice.

Note: In the mobile app, opening the invoice builder creates a draft invoice right away.

On web

Start the invoice

  1. Open the job and select Add > Invoices, or select Accounting > Invoices > New.

  2. In the draft editor, review Bill to.

  3. Select Due date and review the payment terms.

Add line items

  1. Use the search and add controls to add services, materials, and equipment.

  2. Review each line's description, price, quantity, and total.

  3. Add a Summary or Media if needed.

Review and finish

  1. Review Discount, Taxes, and the final total.

  2. Turn Allow partial payments on or off.

  3. Choose your next action: Save & exit, Mark as open, or Mark as paid.

In the mobile app

  1. Open the job and select + > Invoice.

  2. On Charges, use Search for service, Add materials, and Add equipment to add line items.

  3. Review the subtotal, Discount, Taxes, and total, then select Continue. To leave instead, select Save & exit.

  4. On Review invoice, check Bill to and Due date. To change the line items, select Edit.

  5. Select + Summary or + Media to add supporting details.

  6. Turn Allow partial payments on or off.

  7. Select Mark as open at the bottom, or select the arrow beside it to choose Mark as paid.
